The Ferrari 360 Spider was Ferrari’s 20th road-going convertible. 2,389 Ferrari 360 Spider models were built for the US Market, 670 being produced with the gated 6-speed manual transmission. This amazing 360 two-seater convertible is powered by a 3.6 liter V8 mid-engine and puts out 400 horsepower at 8,500 RPM and 275 ft-lb of torque at 4,750 RPM. The 360 soft top is paired with a six-speed manual or F1 automated manual gearbox with paddle shifters, reaching a top speed of 180 mph. The Ferrari 360 Spider was the best Maranello built in the time period in terms of technical content, styling, and performance.

The Ferrari 360 Spider is a topless take on the Ferrari 360 Modena. The Spider’s passengers are enclosed in a protective crash cage completed by two tubular roll bars, part of the drop-top system. The soft top of the Spider is folded away automatically inside the engine bay. The glass window showcases the engine and is visible from each and every angle. Taking all the elements of the Ferrari 360 Modena, the Ferrari 360 Spider specifications remain almost exactly the same. Alcoa worked with Ferrari on the aluminum spaceframe structure. Innovative technology and aerodynamic attention included a stiff chassis and body shell, allowing airflow to increase downforce.

The interior of the 360 Spider featured luxurious leather as standard throughout. On the rear shelf, there is enough space for a set of golf clubs while still providing comfortable seating in the front. Aluminum is a dominant material and displayed on the center console, lower door panels, and throughout the vehicle.

The Ferrari 360 Spider offers driving settings from normal to sport or subject to the driver’s wishes. The normal setting focused on stability in relation to the road conditions, reducing power to the wheels with the assistance of the engine management system or ABS braking to maximize traction. The sport setting placed greater emphasis on the driver’s input. The continuously adjusting dampers (CDC) monitored steering angle, road speed, braking, and acceleration in order to optimize the driving setting. The Ferrari 360 Spider offers a thrilling open-air driving experience at Continental Ferrari.
